  • Brevard Zoo

    Explore critters and habitats from all over the world. The Brevard Zoo is home to animals from here in Florida, Africa, Asia, and the jungle. The whole family can learn about giraffes, horseshoe crabs, cheetahs, crocodiles, alligators, iguanas and dozens of other animals that call the Brevard Zoo home.

    The Zoo has a unique focus on conservation of both animals and our planets resources. They host special events through out the year to educate children and adults on ways to help save our planet. Other special events include hikes for the kids and music events at night.

  • Kennedy Space Center

    The Kennedy Space Center has always been the hub of space exploration in the United States. Now that you live near by you can tour this historic part of American History. Experience a shuttle launch, tour the space center, or talk with a real astronaut. Space comes alive in realistic 3D IMAX theater where you can watch movies of space launches. There are several interactive shows that put you right in the heart of a NASA mission.

  • Beaches

    Florida is best known for its gorgeous beaches, and living right on the coast means there are several beautiful and eclectic beach towns just a few miles away. In fact, you will find some of the best east coast surfing at Cocoa Beach, which is best known for their 800 foot-fishing pier and thriving night life. The area is home to 5 restaurants, several bars, and gift shops.

     

    Throughout the year, the pier is host to community festivals, bands, and live entertainment. Cocoa beach is a very popular surfing spot and offers showers and beach rentals for your convenience. New Symerna Beach is another popular beach to visit located in Volusia county. This beach provides access to the Atlantic Ocean and the inter-coastal waterway. New Symerna beach is known as a popular art city and is the home of many talented local artists.
